As a boy growing up in Shelbyville, TN, Zeke Grissom realized the importance of vision when he was very young. He dreamt of one day being able to provide his community with a lifetime of quality vision care he felt they deserved. Now, after several years of studying, perfecting his craft and gaining much experience, Dr. Grissom has fulfilled his dream by joining Bedford Vision and Eye Clinic to practice in his hometown! After graduating from Community High School, Dr. Grissom decided he wanted to pursue a career in the medical profession following an elbow surgery.
He specifically chose the field of optometry because he felt it was the perfect mixture of all his core values: he would have the ability to be involved in family-centric health care, build long-term patient relationships, and, at the same time, give back to his community. Dr. Grissom chose to attend Middle Tennessee State University for his undergraduate degree and then Southern College of Optometry for optometry school. Dr. Grissom enjoys several facets of being at Bedford Vision and Eye Clinic. He relishes providing patients with high-quality vision they didn’t know was possible. He also likes the uniqueness of each encounter, since every patient has their own set of challenges. Whether it's assisting a middle school student who needs glasses, or tending to a grandmother who realizes her eyes are weaker than she imagined, he enjoys the challenge of tending to his patient’s individual needs.
Dr. Grissom and his wife, Katy, are parents to twin boys. In his free time he enjoys being outdoors, especially relaxing on the beach. He also loves Disney World and eagerly awaits the day his children get older so he can take them there!
